San Francisco Public Work Summer Internships
Starting October 29, 2018 and ending February 13th, 2019, San Francisco Public Works, as well as other city departments, will begin accepting applications for its 2019 Summer Student Intern Program. San Francisco Public Works is seeking student interns from various engineering and architecture disciplines, to provide support to in-house Engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, surveying, GIS and IT staff.
Aegion Materials Engineering Internship
The company is looking for a materials science engineer or similar with a background in polymer science / chemistry. The individual would operate thermal testing equipment (DSC, oscillating disc rheometer, universal testing machine for tensile and compression, and others). The internship is very hands-on requiring mixing and curing polymers, some machining, testing mechanical and thermal properties, and writing reports. The individual would report to 1-2 persons on a daily basis.

4th Annual Career STEAMposium
This program exposes students, from Middle school to College, to professionals that are currently in STEAM careers of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Math. Students will learn about STEAM Careers, the education that is needed to get there, the greater job opportunities available in STEAM fields, hobbies that can be leveraged into a STEAM career and the income benefits associated with STEAM professions as compared to other professions. Attendees will gain this exposure through Workshops with STEAM professionals, hands-on activities and networking with these STEAM professionals.
