Blanca Saavedra
Industrial Engineering, 5th Year

I’ve been a part of SHPE since spring of my first year.I’ve had the privilege to make connections with members who have shown a genuine interest in my life and who I still keep in touch with even after their graduation.I urge anyone who ever has an interest in making a difference in the community, and wants to be a part of an organization that shares the same interest in the STEM field, to join SHPE, you won’t regret it. Along the way you’ll be serving side by side with people who could eventually be part of your extended family.

Kimberly Coronel
Civil Engineering, 5th Year

Because I’m limited on word count, this is going to be simple and sweet. My involvement within SHPE has varied from year to year since I’ve taken different leadership positions. The thing that made me stay for a fourth year within SHPE was the opportunities that are provided but most importantly the sense of a familia. If you want a club that will help you grow as a leader, professional, student, and overall as a person then SHPE is for you!

Ana Lopez
Computer Engineering, 5th Year

I have been a part of SHPE since my freshman year here at CPP, and it’s hard to believe I am currently in my 5th year! Within SHPE, I have done a little bit of everything, literally. From Historian to Industry & Chapter Relations, I have experienced what each one of the 5 pillars of SHPE has to offer. I have enjoyed being a part of SHPE for many reasons, but the two main things that keep me getting involved in this organization are their mission and what they stand for, which I strongly believe in. I want to be part of a new Hispanic generation that encourages one another to reach our fullest potential while striving to be the best people we can be.
